ResizeKB

Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use ResizeKB (the "site"), a free browser-based image compression service. By using the site you accept these terms as written; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site. The terms are intentionally short, because the service is intentionally simple.

The service

ResizeKB lets you reduce an image's file size to a target you choose in kilobytes, check an image's size, and download the result. All processing happens in your own browser; the site has no image upload, no image storage, and no user accounts. The service is provided free of charge, supported by clearly labeled advertising. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we may update these terms from time to time — continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Your content and your responsibility

You retain all rights to every image you process with ResizeKB. We claim no ownership or license over your images — we never even receive them. You are solely responsible for the images you choose to load, for ensuring you have the rights to use them, and for complying with any laws that apply to them. Because processing is local, we do not moderate, review, or store user content, and consequently we do not respond to content takedown requests — there is nothing for us to take down.

No warranty, no liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Compression is lossy and always involves a trade-off between size and quality; the tool reports honestly when a target cannot be reached, but you remain responsible for verifying that an output file meets your requirements before relying on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResizeKB and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the site's operation, not to attempt to disrupt or overload it, and not to misrepresent the service as your own or resell it. The site is intended for processing images you have the right to process. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use ResizeKB images commercially?

Yes. You retain full ownership of every image you process, and the output is yours without restrictions. We claim no license over anything you compress or download.

Is the service guaranteed to work?

It is provided as is, without warranty. Compression results depend on your browser, the image, and the target you choose. The tool reports when a target cannot be reached rather than pretending otherwise.

Are there limits on usage?

No accounts, no daily caps, and no watermarks. We only ask that you do not attempt to disrupt the site or resell it as your own service.
